Vacature – Sales Representative

 

Jellice Pioneer Europe, a subsidiary of the Jellice Pioneer group, a global producer of gelatin(s) and Collagen(s) is looking to expand in the European market, and is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to his Emmen based plant (NL).

 

This position offers an exciting role with a lot of potential in a dynamic and strong industry. The aim is to grow our gelatins and Collagens business at targeted food, Pharma and Nutraceutical customers in Europe. You will be reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director Europe and you will be supported by the Back office which includes Communications, Marketing, Product Management, Applications, R&D, Operations and Finance to achieve our common goals.

 

The ideal candidate is a motivated, well-organized individual who has a deep understanding of prospecting and developing strong relationships with existing customers & prospects.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Being First Choice – cultivate and develop relationships with targeted existing and potential customers to promote Jellice as the preferred supplier
  • Offer technical and commercial (taylor made) solutions to customer driven projects. Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical support to clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Food, Pharma and Nutraceutical sector.
  • Identify and evaluate new market trends/opportunities and develop these opportunities in new business to grow the company’s market share within the related industries – manage these opportunities within our ERP system.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
  • Ensure prices & conditions negotiations in liaison with the Commercial management
  • Support Jellice strategy for growth linked to group’s primarily objectives.
  • Develop long-term sales plans for key customers and accounts, monitor and adapt sales activities that these objectives are met in accordance with Jellice’s strategy
  • Actively promote the company profile at conferences, tradeshows and industry seminars
  • Keep and establish contact to internal departments like Application and Product Management on relevant projects, pricing, market developments etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product offerings and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Be the gate keeper, coordinator of all Business development projects involving the portfolio of products with the use of existing (CRM) tools
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, reports, and forecasts to management.

 

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in food science, food technology, or business, with experience in the food industry, experience in the gelatin and or Collagen industry is a plus.
  • 3-5+ years experience in Food B2B Ingredient sales.
  • Practical experience in a product development/applications role within the food industry.
  • You like to work independently, being self-motivated but also understand how to function in a larger organization and the importance of reaching common business goals – a high degree of team spirit is a prerequisite
  • You are customer centric and open-minded
  • You prove project management skills where full ownership of driving new business opportunities is demonstrated by coordinating all team members to achieve business objectives
  • Creative, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about food and Pharma, its appearance, ingredients and industrial processing.
  • Proven ability to assimilate technical information, manage and deliver projects.
  • You are fluent in English language (Dutch, German, French or any other language will be a plus) and …(have a valid driving license)
  • You are familiar with all existing business software and preferably CRM tools
